January Movies
Added 2023-12-16 01:00:02 +0000 UTCI know January is often one of the least interesting months for movies. And often it's when I catching up on all the 2023 films I missed. But feel free to let me know all the things you guys plan on watching this month, and if there's any films from 2023 leftover, that you think I should check.

Yeah, worth watching but not worth reviewing in my opinion. Please review something from Emir Kusturica... "Black Cat, White Cat" or "Underground" please! Gypsy cinema is a weird wonderful thing lol

2024-01-17 00:53:51 +0000 UTCYou should go to Sundance and tell us about all the pretentious indie movies we can expect to see next year

2023-12-17 03:26:39 +0000 UTCPoor Things will be available on January 19 in my country, so... Godzilla Minus One looks interesting.

2023-12-16 15:21:01 +0000 UTCAs for movies I’m going to catch up on, I really want to watch the new horror movie “When Evil Lurks”

2023-12-16 03:41:43 +0000 UTCJust a few ideas. No I don’t expect you to review all of these. Lol 2023 Catch Up Movies: * Godzilla Minus One - I know I already bugged you about this one but if its still playing in your area, I’d say check it out, especially in IMAX. I walked into it with modest expectations given good word of mouth and came out convinced I saw an instant classic. In a great year for movies this one is just about a lock for my top ten. * The Boy and the Heron - It’s not often we get a new Miyazaki movie (much less one, thats topping the box office). I’d be curious what you think. * Ferrari - I know this is coming out Christmas Day, just putting it here in case you’re not planning to review it that week. Like Miyazaki, we don’t often get a new Michael Mann movie so I’d be curious what you think. * The Zone of Interest - Jonathan Glazer’s new movie. * Afire - Christian Petzoid’s new movie from earlier this year. It’s available on the Criterion Channel. January Movies: * Perfect Days - Wim Wenders new movie. It also stars Koji Yakusho who is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors as I go through some of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s work (very underrated director). To be honest I’m not 100% sure it’s coming out this month since I keep hearing conflicting things. It was supposed to come out this month but got delayed like a few others. I guess I’m mainly putting it here, to keep an eye out for it. As of now I don’t see many interesting January films coming out but if I see one getting good word of mouth that looks interesting I’ll let you know.

2023-12-16 02:07:39 +0000 UTCTo be honest, I’m genuinely interested in the train wreck that is probably going to be Mean Girls. I love the original, and I thought a musical film adaptation could be good, but the trailers have been quite bad. It looks like they have no idea who to market the film towards.

2023-12-16 01:03:55 +0000 UTCI loved your review for Poor Things! Yorgos Lanthimos has progressed exquisitely with each cinematic endeavor. I’m looking forward to seeing it. Are you planning to see/review The Holdovers?
