Wow Dude...

...Ya'll likely know already that I'm an extremely active Instagram user. I always wished there was a way to have like a mini version of that for the Patrons. Where you can easily just upload pics or videos from your phone to Patreon through an app. I kept meaning to check out the creator app, but it seems at face value to be the thing I've been looking for. Obviously on my official instagram, while a lot of it has a cinematic feel...there is very little about movies to be found. As in, I don't do much promotion for the channel on there in a literal sense despite the fact that it's an official DFL page lol. But I always keep things mysterious. When I add stuff on here I will keep things movie related since that's what ya'll are here for. But let me know if you have any suggestions, or ideas of what you would be interested in seeing.

Just waiting out the COVID currently. It's why I've been adding a lot of posts the last few days and actually answering my messages on time haha. I'm very bad at sitting still for long periods of time, so this has been a major test of restraint for me.

Mystery is important when everything you do is made public. I miss the imbd boards. After the Dark Knight was released, teenagers swarmed the message boards and started flaming people and posting other non-related movie stuff. Eventually imdb took them down. I didn't make the transition to letterbox. If it's an open forum and you started posting there I know that, speaking for myself, I would become active in it.

A couple years ago I mentioned Locals.com to you. If you started a channel there, you would be able to upload photos and videos from your phone or desktop and even do watch parties there with no fear of copyright issues as it's a free speech platform. The subscription format for us is exactly the same as here except non-subscribers can get access to posts too unless you make them for subscribers only which you can. There's a bachelor channel I follow on there that does watch parties every weekend of blockbuster films and NFL games without trouble and I always share great films I've seen with a link included to watch it for free on a legal site. It's only a few people that always acknowledge my film picks but they've been overall positive about them. I even told them about you recently since they know me as the film expert and shared the link to your channel telling them that you're one of the few women I've known who's probably more of a film expert than me but I digress. Point being, Locals is legit and has more to offer with less bullshit than most media sites if you're interested.

I have one but never use it. I already have enough to keep track of. Someone has created a fake one for me, and while it's not always that accurate, I'm impressed by the attention they've given my opinions, as well as slightly creeped out.

Im not sure if you've been asked before but have you ever thought about joining Letterboxd? Because I always thought your account would be fire if you had one and it may be a useful way to share your thoughts on movies that you don't feel that you need to do full video reviews for!
