Classic Review Idea
Added 2024-02-23 18:00:07 +0000 UTCEvery year around spring/summer time I try and review a classic summer American blockbuster. Last year it was Terminator 2, the year before I spend the majority of the year returning to Star Wars, and this year I thought I'd do the first three Indiana Jones films. Dial of Destiny last year definitely kickstarted the urge in me last summer. I would only be covering the original trilogy, and not Crystal Skull. What do you guys think?

2024-04-18 02:45:34 +0000 UTCBeen a while I’ve watched them and they are some of my favorite movies, but would be good and refreshing I think to hear your opinions since you go a bit more on the artistic sides than just the Fun part of it…

2024-02-25 22:32:07 +0000 UTCI've considered it. I've seen all the Star Trek films, and that is not something anyone should be proud of.

2024-02-25 18:48:35 +0000 UTCDo what you like, but with all the love you gave Star Wars last year, how about original Star Trek movies 2, 4, 6?

2024-02-25 13:27:26 +0000 UTCPlease do it lol. I wanna know if we share similar opinions on it…same with Jeanne Dielman

2024-02-24 18:03:41 +0000 UTCI couldn’t finish dial of destiny. And I almost never stop a movie once I start it.

2024-02-24 14:47:04 +0000 UTChaha...I mean...I can tell you this: It came out around my 18th birthday. I saw it on the day it came out as party of my birthday. I hated it. I never saw it again. lol. That said...I have a feeling it's a lot more interesting at least, than Dial of Destiny. Which was so fucking boring

2024-02-24 03:45:41 +0000 UTCHaha...actually, I'm fully on board with either of those too. Salo is one I have been debating.

2024-02-24 03:45:02 +0000 UTCI've seen Temple of Doom actually rise in popularity over time.

2024-02-24 03:44:17 +0000 UTCDo whatever you find fun/interesting/inspiring. You are basically committing to giving your thoughts on Crystal Skull sometime in the future though.

2024-02-23 19:06:18 +0000 UTCProbably my favorite trilogy. I rewatch all three almost every year. Can’t wait!

2024-02-23 18:37:54 +0000 UTCI’m with you on the idea, but I propose an addendum: the South Park episode where Indy is assaulted by Spielberg and Lucas. You could watch that in place of Crystal Skull. It’s less painful.

2024-02-23 18:36:46 +0000 UTCSounds good. Haven't seen them in several years. I'm most curious about Temple of Doom as several people consider it as bad or worse than Crystal Skull. I'm way overdue to rewatch the original three, anyway.

2024-02-23 18:29:43 +0000 UTCI love it!!! Have at it, Maggie! I definitely have strong opinions here, and it’s not fully the commonly accepted opinion. We can get into it after your reviews!

2024-02-23 18:12:49 +0000 UTCGreat idea. I’ve always heard/had a lot of debate over which is the best, ranking them, etc. it would spark a fun discussion.
