The Royal Guard (WIP 2) - August

Painting is definitely a huge undertaking more so when it's so different compared to my overall style hah.
I'm still undecided about the bg being bright or dark, but that's a problem for later, in the meantime it's still missing a couple of things as well as colors and even more details, but i'm happy with how it's looking so far.
Also, for those that don't check twitter that much, this week i've gotten extra busy by taking care of my parents' place and pets, as well the other family businesses in town, and coupled with the lack of an actual setup for drawing, art output is gonna enter another slugish period...sorry about that :'(
Anyway, hope y'all are having a nice time! I'll keep things updated as best as i can.

I'm loving the atmosphere in this piece, personally I prefer the bright version but I'm sure you'll pick the one that better fits the mood. In particular, I really like how the guard looks so focused, with an intensity that really communicates he's on the job, in contrast with the carefree let's say noble standing in front, the tension it generates just makes it all the sexier!
