Added 2024-10-28 22:22:11 +0000 UTCI watched Signs a few weeks ago for the first time in a while. I always knew it was silly from the beginning, but wow. We all love to joke about the Oscar Isaac's line "Somehow Palpatine returned" in Rise of Skywalker....but frankly, I feel we need to make special consideration of Mel Gibson's line "they seem to have trouble with pantry doors." That's a double take quote if I've ever heard. One of the dumbest lines I've heard in a while...and yet it was wildly entertaining to me lol.

2024-10-28 22:31:24 +0000 UTCI re-watched Signs about a year ago with my mom and we both had seen it several years before and thought of it as a good movie. But damn…it was so corny to us. The build-up to the aliens is pretty decent and campy but that third act we were rolling our eyes through. Especially the part where the action is constantly being interrupted so that Mel Gibson can tell each family member why they’re so special to him. I was like wow this is tonal whiplash and should have been saved for the very end. I watched The Village this month and it was much better by comparison…but still corny.

2024-10-28 22:30:23 +0000 UTCRewatched it around the time Trap came out. That line is very special since Culkin n Phoenix r literally wearing tin foil hats lol. My only real issue with it is the ending being kinda silly. Would be my favorite from him otherwise
