Fintroll's right. Please, please all read the manga past the anime once you're done with the episodes. So much payoff for some of Jack's predictions and comments. I'd love to hear his reactions. It's so much fun!

Quick fyi: I just rewatched the episode and (at least in dub) Kortopi says "I can't make living copies, just ones that don't move." Also, Hisoka despite being a manipulative bastard and a magician (aka a "conjurer"), is actually a transmuter type. I think his texture surprise usually works on a simple piece of paper that we see turn back to a mundane object when he's done with it. I remember he is a transmuter because it's the same as Killua. So all the creepy astrology stuff he mentions in Heavens Arena about enhancers and transmuters being "compatible" is a cruel inversion of Gon's sweeter actual relationship with Killua. And the bit he says back then about transmuters fickleness ending up hurting the enhancers is an abusive callback to the fears Illumi put on Killua during the hunter exam. It's a lot to keep track of though so I hope you don't get too inundated with this correction :< EDIT: Omg and in last episode you watched right after Gon says to Kurapika, "Now you can focus on your main goal of laying the eyes of your people to rest" there's this GREAT moment where Gon accidentally gets food all over Killua and then Killua pies Gon and jokingly says "You did it first! I was just getting revenge," in an absolute farce of the seriousness of Kurapika's revenge plot. God this show is so good!

The literal Japanese title of the song is "Kusari Yarou", which is of course translated to Chain Bastard. "Kusari Yarou" is also how the Spiders have been referring to Kurapika! It's just been translated slightly differently as chain user in the series.

I looked it up, and I believe Silver calls his dad "oyaji" (親父 / おやじ), which can indeed mean old man or Dad. (https://soranews24.com/2020/06/21/11-different-ways-to-say-father-in-japanese/) The way they describe it in that link is great, actually. "Oyaji is the roughest-sounding term on our list, but said with enough warmth in your voice, it can also radiate a certain masculine jovialness, and is almost exclusively used by men." Having checked how he says it in the anime (Ep52 - time 14.03 and 15.27) i do feel like I can read a level of warmth there. And obv Silver has to be a masc macho man. I don't speak Japanese and I'd super welcome being corrected on this by someone who does. In my initial post I thought he said 老人 roujin bc i dont have an ear for it. (Which does mean old man)
