I guess it's more about who you kill, and how mean you seem while doing it. Luckily our friends Gon and Killua don't seem very mean at all. And neither do their new assassin adversaries, which is also lucky. Palm on the other hand, Palm Siberia, she's scary. Scarier even than the full suite of Chimera Ant Royal Guards, now fully splatted out from their egg things.

2024-09-20 13:46:52 +0000 UTCadditionally I always appreciate Jack's takes and insights as things unfold because i like to compare to what I was feeling and thinking when I watched for the first time (about six months ago). I was fully in Jack's shoes with Kite predictions at this point as well, and I really needed the tension of the ant scenes cut with the training arc in Vienna (lmao) in order to survive the dread I felt about whatever was coming next.💀

I am a HUGE Kite fan and an even bigger fan of the "guy who Comes Back Wrong" trope so when Kite gets all scarred up and puppeteered I was cheering at the screen while my husband next to me was like "what is Wrong with you"

2024-09-18 09:51:14 +0000 UTCMy read on the "nonviolent solution" Netero mentions was not one out of a desire to not kill the ants, but a desire not to fight the royal guard. They're really strong, Netero doesn't think he can fight them, so he wants to find a way to the queen without fighting them. But I don't know, that might be a reach. I just always read Netero as tactical and pragmatic first, moral second
