Darkness

“Hey, babe, can you see the light in my crystal?” You looked up from your book, and found your eyes instantly locked on to the way the lights shone through its many facets. The sparkles were so easy to look at. “That’s it. Good toy. Just watch my crystal. Enjoy how it shines.”
Your partner came closer to you, still holding the crystal in your view. It was all you could see. All you could look at. The light was so beautiful, even as it took away your thoughts. “So easy to watch, isn’t it? And it’s so fun, to feel your mind melting under the light, isn’t it?”
Your head moved up and down, easily, automatically agreeing. “Mmm, that’s it. Such a good toy for me. Letting the light fill your head. So there’s no space for any of your thoughts. No space to think. Just room to obey. To listen to my words.” It was true.
You couldn’t think. Not anymore. You could just listen, and obey. “And in a moment, I’m going to let you really drop down. Stay with me, for just a little while longer, there’s a good toy.” You could feel yourself faltering. Feel your eyes wanting to close.
You felt their finger on your chin, holding you up, so you could still see the crystal. One of their fingers went to a switch, and flicked it. The crystal went dark. Their finger let you drop, and your mind went dark too. Empty. Nothing. No awareness. Just deep, deep, trance.
