what i also remember from alyssa's grandma breaking down is that after she's taken out of the room, even with the door closed, you can hear her sobbing and screaming things like "it'll never be okay again." which is just such a gutpunch.

I loved EWU's video on her. I watched the whole thing before making this video because I love the body language analysis xD

HannahTheHorrible

yes thank you for the insights as someone with BPD! That's so important. I think it was just her defense trying to make excuses for her.

This was very interesting to watch even though I've seen EWU's video covering this before. I don't feel for Alyssa at all, she does clearly need some serious therapy and shouldn't be let out unsupervised, even when she turns ~60 years old. Prozac shouldn't be prescribed to anyone under 18 and side effects are at a higher risk until you're around 25 years old, because it's around that age the brain has fully developed. With that said I highly doubt Prozac or BPD had anything to do with her "actions", I'm leaning towards C-PTSD (due to her being neglected for so long as a small child before the grandparents took over). There is a lot I want to sort of "debunk" regarding Prozac and/or BPD being the cause of her murdering this poor child for what seems to be "just for the hell of it". She should stay behind closed doors, considering how she only feels for herself, no one but her is the villian in this tragedy and I hope that will hit her like a brick some day in the near future. Amazing video nonetheless and very interesting to listen to and watch - definitely was worth waiting for!!!

I know I don't speak on behalf of all people with BPD, but I can at least speak for myself as a person who is diagnosed. I've been on a variety of medications, many including SSRIs and am currently on ssriS. As it is a condition involving extreme emotions, I can confidently say that I emotionally feel so much more stable and slow to anger than I have on any other medications, which is the general opinion of people sharing my disorder. The people who throw around the assumptions of "Prozac made her do it" are actively damaging people like us who need it for our stability. As well as that, it's so demonising for those of us with BPD that will inevitably be compared to people like this. I am not a dangerous person by anyones standards, and I don't understand the sensationalism that people create around especially personality disorders and sometimes life saving SSRIs. Like you said, the things she liked were normal (I too am an ex emo lol), just as it is normal to be on SSRIs and to have disorders. She killed for reasons beyond these.

olivzilla !

I lost all my myspace pics but thankfully still had some from my later teens in Facebook archives xD

Emo Hannah! Lol when you said you were emo I was hoping you’d show pictures! I lost all of my old emo pictures when MySpace changed servers or whatever.
