re: the fake food. another explanation that i saw that im surprised wasnt included was the fruit being unripe--in the case of the avocado as unripe avocados do have that rubbery consistency. not too sure on the watermelon as my search has led me to believe OVER-ripened watermelon can have that effect, but as you stated in the video, so does that fizzling sensation. the banana is a straight up mystery. same thing with the blueberry.

The "fake" blueberry reminds me of one of the jellied fruit snacks. Costco used to sell a brand that had one in the shape of blueberries, and look just like that one in the middle. They tasted just as they looked, too... like plastic.
