Okay, yes this was super hot be also awesome seeing May do what she wanted to survive. However I wish, instead of going into the classic incest it has been May Vs Mephisto the entire comic in a sex battel with some insane and over the top sex bits and instead had the Peter/Mayday sex in a single comic

I mean, not saying I was looking forward to all the incest -I was actually relieved that the comic wasn't going to be just Mephisto and May-, but it was probably the hype around it that made this feel flat. Not that it wasn't bad, I liked it, but I was thinking "Oh boy! She's crossing the line! Zero taboos! This is going to be wild!". And in the end I felt it good, but it just wouldn't live to the hype. Ironically, my favorite part was the beginning with May seducing and giving the blowjob to Mephisto. I'm normally not into the whole fucking something more inhuman (like the more symbiote centric ones or that comic with the Lizard fucking MJ, I just skimmed that part), so I was not really looking forward to see Mephisto fucking May -or anybody-, but in the end it was May who made this work. It was when Peter and MJ entered the scene that kinda ruined the mometum. I guess this was entirely intentional since Peter just wants to rush this ("Party pooper..."), so them just being in one position for the rest of the comic... it was ok. Made sense from a story perspective, but it was kinda boring from a porn perspective. And as mentioned above, I wasn't looking forward to Mephisto fucking anybody, so him fucking MJ was a bonus, but not something I wanted to see. The story and the humor were great, and the Watcher at the end was hilarious. Art wise, I'm gonna have to agree with the previous commenters that I get what you were going for with a Frenz-inspired look, but I'm not a fan of his. I actually think I like all the artists involved here more that Frenz. Particularly the facial expressions, I really liked them! It was wonky at times, but good enough.

I liked Karl Paulson's artwork, and definitely picked up on the Ron Frenzian vibe he was trying to lay down, but something just didn't click for me. It definitely wasn't the first 3 pages though. May's seduction of Mephisto and blowjob are excellent, and easily my favorite part of this story. I think I would have liked it more if we had seen more of this directed at Peter and MJ. I have no issues with incest in porn, but 616 Peter seems like he would push back a little harder against it. Just as MJ had to take matters into her own hands and force the final decision in One More Day, I would have liked to see something like that here, where May explains it's the only way to save her reality, Peter is still resistant, so Mary Jane steps up and urges him into it, and then he ends up enjoying it. The ending though, with Stan the Watcher, definitely made me laugh. Nice touch, that. No matter what, I'm always happy to get more Spider-Girl porn. It's a testament to the strength of that comic and the world it built that it was the only MC2 comic that lasted more than 12 issues.

I knew there was something oddly familiar about the art style. It's been so long since I saw original Spider-Girl. Frenz wasn't always my favorite artist, but yannow. ^_^

And the pinnacle on that is her dialogue with Mephisto on the last page. She talks about erasing her BJ on Mephie and MJ's assfuck but it's quite strange that she doesn't mention taking Pete's pete inside her, isn't it? About the artstyle, I know the artist was really trying to get the Ron Frenz vibe for the comic. At some point in the sketches, he even did Peter with a goatee. =) But I wanted this to be a story between the 616 Peter/MJ and MC2 May, so we got rid of the facial hair.

2016-02-06 14:57:11 +0000 UTCLike many others, I consider the original One More Day to be a travesty. I never bothered to read another Spider-Man book after that, save for Ultimate. I'm not even sure I'd bother now, and in canon personally prefer Miles to Peter. This, though? While it doesn't redeem it because it's on a completely different tangent from the original story, it at least made me laugh. Mephisto, outwitted by May Parker. Now that's awesome. Esp because May Parker was always a great character with her own interesting world. I have a special fondness for incest stories - direct incest, rather than the unusual complication that is Ult Peter and Jess - but they do tend to be of a more direct caliber. Siblings, mothers, fathers, daughters and sons, having sex because they want to. Maybe they love each other, or maybe they're massive pervs, or just sex hungry freaks that can't be bothered with little taboo barriers like familial relation. maybe some combination of the three. This story, of course, takes a different route. It's more than a little ugly, and while the coupling that I desire is happening, no one, not even May, seems to be enjoying it that much. Yes, I take satisfaction in Mephisto's comeuppance, but I would have hoped for a little more of the taboo satisfaction that comes with making your father nut, or cumming in your daughter, even at the end. To be fair, the story was trying to go for a more realistic feel, and so its one of those TS comics that work better for me on a story level than on a porn one. I realize not everyone can be Jess... but considering the way things started, I was expecting for more enjoyment and encouragement from May. Ah well. it's still awesome for Peter to say 'fuck you' to M. The art is... passable. It doesn't feel too polished or barbie-ish, but it does feel... uneven. Some of the moments are wonderful, like a pleased May relishing Mephisto's cumshot. But during others, the pencils feel squished, or too sharp, or... something. I'm not a great art critic. If I had to point to one thing, it would be the mouths, which sometimes seem to be exaggeratedly open it a way that turns me off, artistically. It sort of feels like the opposite of R-ex's style, which I really enjoyed. The one that looks most true to like is Mephisto himself, who always looks angular and over-dramatic. But as far as Peter, MJ, and May are concerned... some hits, some misses. The art seems to do better when there's more space to work, as the faces of Peter and MJ on the cover look really good. Colors are good as well, if not as vibrant. I don't necessarily feel like there's anywhere for this story specifically to go... but I really do like the idea of coming back to a May/Incest angle in a future story, where the sex is more consensual and enjoyable. Doesn't have to be romantic... hell, incest is - by it's societal nature - a perverse act. But in the right hands, it can be glorious. So I look forward for the chance to explore that.
