LOL - We had the same discussion in the stream when I was working on it. So several people looked up a bunch of stuff, some people were saying one thing, some were saying another. What it comes down to is, waves get produced in a lot of different ways. There's a ton of variety you can find due to how the beaches are formed. You can get these crazy fast curling waves, these big huge thick waves, and all sorts of stuff in between. On top of that- you can have waves generated by other causes, such as ships, or shifting masses. The wave is pretty big. The goal here was to show how the water of a wave rushes out from the beach (as shown around her legs) to form the wave as it crashes into her. Something a lot of people never experience or see. She's near the edge of the wave so the area further down the crest is pretty tall. Probably around 6 feet. She's just under 6 feet tall, and the wave comes up to almost 4 feet on her and if it had further it could travel it would swell up to around 6 feet. There's a few things I would change if I were to draw it again. I think she leaning pretty extreme and should be more upright, and I would rework the twisting of her torso and arm that she's holding up above her eyes. I think just her pose would help with the wave size thing too. We'll see what comes up for next month, maybe I'll get a similar request XD
