Lori Vallow’s motion for dismissal

Lori Vallow has filed a motion to dismiss her charges in the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux. She says Arizona has violated her speedy trial rights. Does she have a point? What are your thoughts?

I’ve always thought her dad must have represented himself in his own court cases, thereby giving her the idea since it allowed her center stage. A lot of her language already sounds very Sovereign Citizen, so we are in for a wacky ass time if she’s going to go down that road.

How could she have been extradited in Nov. 2025? It hasn’t even happened yet.

I don’t give a shit about anything she has to say, I just wanted to see her signature, since she’s still using Daybell. It’s stupid.

She appears to have a point but (with my minimal understanding of the law) it would appear that because the extensions were approved and at times asked for by her counsel it will most likely not go anywhere. Also did no one tell her exclamation points are not typically used in legal documents????

I feel for the judge in this case…

I have lots of thoughts after reading this. The judge already addressed this with her. She wanted to know the dates for Brandon’s trial and the judge told her they can’t set the date- because they don’t know how long this one will take- since she is representing herself. Now I can see why she wanted a definite date for Brandon’s trial to begin, if she wanted to get it dismissed for lack of speedy trial. In Lori’s eyes Arizona is just “causing her problems”. 🤭 Poor girl. Drives me nuts how Arizona, according to her, is supposed to follow the law when it deals with her. But did she obey the law when she committed murder? No. I’m sure the judge will get a chuckle reading this. I don’t know why I expected better grammar and accurate dates from her. In her mind, if she thinks she is innocent, how contrived the state of Arizona must be to her. I’d love to know Brandon’s thoughts on this. I grew up with his wife’s family. I need to ask.

I seriously doubt that the judge will take kindly to her telling him all about Law. She’s going to drag and drama this out as much as possible. Also, it’s kind of hard to have a speedy trial when you were already on trial in another state for murdering your children.

She needs a fan like Ashley Benefield had in Florida, she probably will be given a pardon!

Debbie Fulton

In all honesty she has violated her own rights to anything and she will never, ever be accountable.

A motion to dismiss citing a lack of speedy trial and yet she doesn’t date the document. Go figure 🙄 Oh, she’s written a date on page 4 ….

Does it really matter how long they take? It’s not like she is going anywhere but back to another prison cell. Is she is a hurry to get back to the Idaho prison? If so, then why?? She isn’t saying she is innocent of the crime just that Arizona is taking forever. Also I noticed the huge D too. Eyeroll to the extreme. We get it, you are the wife of the ugly murdering cult leader.

I don’t think yelling at the judge in all caps is going to help her argument… I don’t know anything about federal or state law as it pertains to a single defendant being charged with multiple crimes in separate trials, and how timelines play out. It cannot be the case that speedy trial rights force the state to conduct multiple trials at the same time, or even right after one another. This is exactly the kind of naive reading of the law that gets pro se defendants in trouble.

I don't believe things are that simple. I'm prepared to wages that there are Arizona precedents that extend these deadlines in certain circumstances.

She has a point but would need some context from the state if the speedy trial violation is this cut and dry. Also, is the D in her signature a symbol? Or a sideways snarking smile? She has definitely been practicing and developing her Daybell signature in prison!
