Our next anime?

Hey guys!

Just asking at this point as a matter of curiosity to see where the interest lies etc., etc., but of the following, I was wondering which animes you would be interested in seeing pop up over here next?

We have a lot that we're still doing as we are doing the Big 3 at the same time and whilst we're in the middle of Dressrosa for One Piece, we're approaching TYBW with Bleach and Shippuden with Naruto.

We're watching some live-airing animes right now which will stay as Frieren, The Apothecary Diaries & Solo Leveling until their current cours run their full course, and JJK will be finished up over here pretty soon too.

That will just leave the Big 3 Shōnens and then MHA coming off rotation and moving more regularly.

So that being said, which ones might you like to see in the place of those dropping away?

Thankfully I want to watch all of these so you can answer all if you wish, but again, just want to reiterate that I'm just looking to see who's interested in what and then we'll take it from there when the time's right.

Let me know y'all!

Thanks for the love and support as always, and I'll see you real soon!

~ Lok

Personally I’d say running through smaller ones rather than longer ones would make sense bc you can get through more anime

Also, if popularity isn’t your first priority, I’d also like to recommend the followings: - Kakushigoto: My Dad's Secret Ambition - A Place Further than the Universe - Deca-Dence - Kotaro Lives Alone - Komi Can’t Communicate - Hyouka: Classic Literature Club - Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life These are all single season anime except for the last one. Not necessarily for reaction purpose, just wanna share some underrated gems:)

It even won anime of the year award at Anime awards 2023. Highly recommend it if you manage to fit it in your schedule at some point :)

Graatz

It will return man, I can promise that!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Ooooh this is a good one - people have recommended this to me a bit as well. Thanks man!

Hey Lok thank you for the reply! I was a bit panicking cause the poll is leading by another shonen which is understandable considering how good and popular HxH is but worried at the same time because then the ratio of shonen anime on here would be super heavy which is why I did vote for Death Note and Monogatari. Anyways, it’s only my personal opinion wanting different varieties in genre, just wanted to provide some recommendations that are pretty good choices when considering popularity from a content creator POV as well as the pace changing for the channel since most of the series we have now other than JJK, Frieren and Apothecary are all quite long. Plus, would love your golden reaction and analysis on these shows as well🫶🏻

Mel

I grew up an anime nerd in the 90s but I admit I dropped off keeping up with series probably over 10-12 years ago 😅 I don't know what you have watched from the 'golden age' of anime, but it could be a cool idea if you had one "Throwback Anime" series along with all your newer ones. Maybe something you haven't watched in ages and wanted to revisit, or maybe something you never checked out but everyone raves about it! It could be interesting to compare and contrast the old school animation technology, storytelling styles, evolution of classic tropes, etc to modern day anime. Besides it being an utter nostalgia rewatch for some of us 😁 It wasn't a popular anime from that time, it had a very niche fandom, but one of my all time favorites was Serial Experiments Lain! Such a weird, cool, and unhinged story (definitely a slow burn tho, haha). I think it's all free on YouTube as well!

Hey Mel, thank you! Again just wanted to reiterate that this is by no means an indication of the next animes we go for per se! Just some of my own personal ones I’ve been interested in, so wanted to check the waters and see not only if people want to watch these too, but also if anyone has other recommendations as well! We never get anywhere without recommendations, so you’re doing the most right now by giving them to me. Thank you! ☺️ I’ve heard a bit about YLIA and heard Violet Evergarden is quite good too! Unfortunately I’ve already seen all of Kaguya Sama by myself, but I’ll be willing to check out the synopses for these too! Also just a note as well that they’re not ALL Shounens listed! Monogatari is pretty difficult to class as one so I thought it might be a switch up in line with what you were thinking, and even if it’s a little less popular. Maybe that’s just me though! All this to say don’t worry too much, and thank you for recommending some other titles! 🥹❤️

Thanks for these Koneko!!!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Death Note pleaseeee

This might be a very unpopular opinion here but… Was really hoping for something other than shonen since we’ve already got Bleach, Naruto, MHA, One Piece and we have Solo Leveling coming as well..(don’t get me wrong I love all of the above and am very excited for SL as well as new One Piece with WIT Studio) but just wanting to see some genre varieties on here, besides, HxH is also a relatively long series which means it will take up a slot and wouldn’t be done for quite a while.. Violet Evergarden, Your Lie in April, Anohana, The Eminence in Shadow, Kaguya-Sama or Ya Boy KongMing are all good series to react to and are all pretty famous, plus these are all shorter/seasonal series (except for Kaguya-Sama) which is good when considering from a rotation aspect and these would add some varieties to the genres on the channel but I guess it’s just me..:(

Mel

Inuyasha, Berserk, Trigun, Trinity Blood, Blood+, Full metal panic, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Ghoul, Ajin: Demi-Human (Japanese: 亜人, Hepburn: Ajin), Claymore (even if the manga is a lot longer and complex)

koneko1110

I would love to see your reaction to Cyberpunk Edgerunners. It is quite short. Possible to finish in one sitting.

Graatz

Still hoping you’ll resume your Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood reactions 😄 But I will be there for either of those three choices tho

PanDi

Aaaaaah yesss man I have seen the first 6 eps but this was like 2 years ago so we’ll need to watch again! I was really into it at the time and it was the first anime I was going to react to over here - so I’m excited to check out more with you! Thanks so much for the love and the vibes always man, and thanks for the parallel with HxH! I’ll remember to keep FMAB in my head!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Yeah absolutely! Single series animes are a vibe and definitely a good change of pace I think!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Voted HxH and Death Note, but also highly recommend Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood! I can't remember if you had seen it already or not, but if not I think you'd really enjoy it. The action-filled pacing of HxH with the politically driven plot AoT, FMAB will always be the goat in my books

Rhaegom

Well I just figure you already have a ton of multi-season anime recs. You might want to sandwich in some limited series options at some point when you need a break from a big time investment, and those two are critically acclaimed. 😊

Delerium

Ah never! Love to see it and if anything it gives off a great first impression for the stories themselves too 🥹 Thank you again!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Always with the good recs Delerium! 🥹✊ Can’t wait to check out the synopsis of these and also for some more Frieren and Apothecary Diaries with ya! And JJK! 😌

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Yep, that was definitely passion you felt ^^' Might have gotten a bit overzealous, but hey I just enjoy sharing those goodies, so you're very welcome !

Daintl

Devilman Crybaby and Pluto, two single-season limited series.

Delerium

Wow what a list! Thank you so much for this Daintl! I’ll check out the synopses of these and give them a read but I can feel your passion(?) behind the recs too, and they’re tailored! Thank you for this! 🥹❤️

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Oooh same author and artist?! 👀 might have to give it a look! Thank you for this ddarui!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Oh some awesome ones here man! Demon Slayer I’ve seen the first 2 seasons by myself so it’d just be finishing off the recent one, but all the other recs are brand new! Also OPM even 👀

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Longer ones for sure, but Nurarihyon no Mago (Yokai anime, the manga is beautiful but the second season of the anime is absolutely amazing), Akatsuki no Yona (Historical fantasy set in an ancient Asian-like continent, awesome female mc with incredible character development. One of the best Shoujo manga out there, watching your reaction to Kusuriya made me think of it) and Mahoutsukai no Yome (gorgeous anime, almost ghibli-esque at times. A Fantasy largely inspired by celtic Folklore, it completely nails the sense of otherness that one should feel from interacting with the occult. Female MC with a secondary Male protagonist, again the character development is just a treat. This one is quite immersive, as you get to know this fantastical side of the world alongside the MC. Gorgeous soundtrack as well.) are all pearls that don't get enough attention in the reaction business ! And for a really longer one (203 episodes + 2 non-adapted manga arcs) there is Katekyo Hitman Reborn, an underdog Shonen manga that is still one of Jump's best selling ones. Most people avoid it because of its slow beginning ; the author was originally writing a comedy manga, but it became a shonen with the editor's pushing and I think the shift in tone is actually pretty interesting to witness. All these are just so rarely seen on the reaction scene despite how great they are ! Obviously watch the animes you had in mind first, but I truly think you would greatly enjoy some of these ^^

Daintl

Hunter x Hunter is my favorite anime so it's an obvious choice for me. But If you have not watch it I strongly recommend Bakuman, an anime about making manga by the same writer and drawer as Death Note.

ddarui7

Black Clover Fire Force Made In Abyss Demon Slayer One Punch Man

Yamete Kudasai

Oh awesome! I kind of love shows like this with even a little bit of meta commentary (Oshi no Ko comes to mind), so I’ll take a peek at the synopsis! Thanks so much Fumi!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

I’m reeeeeally really keen to pick it back up man!

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Thanks for this man! 👀✨ I loved the first 2 eps so getting back to it would be sick as

LKTV 록희 ロッキー

Its a bit of a longer one at 24 episodes, but if you havent seen Shirobako then it was just put back on Hidive recently to stream. Its an (somewhat exaggerated) anime about making anime and its production pipeline and the people working in anime. Its probably one of my favorites and was really happy to see it put back on a streaming service after being absent for a good few years.

Fumi フミ

lok you would be so hype over death note!!

ac0rn

Death Note, not even close. So good.
