I mean, in certain ways sure but in so many ways it so is! Even the princesses for example - the fact they have relations with literal illegal outlaws is in itself personal AND political (because their power / away might someday aid the Straw Hats), but even the potential alliances that could form, the fight against Doffy (the monarch), and so much more - these are all political and you can read really deeply into them! I think One Piece can be as deep or as shallow as you want it to be, and especially the social commentary yeah - it’s right in your face if you’re of the mindset to see it 100%. It’s one of the main reasons I’ve kept watching beyond the fact that I love the characters and their dynamics so much!

The best thing about this anime is it doesn't shy away from real world problems. The social and political commentary is not even 'subtle'. It's very honest and straightforwad. That's why I can't understand why some fans says One Piece isn't political. About the posting, whether it's 2 eps or 20 eps, I enjoy it regardless. I love to binge so I really don't mind watching a lot of episodes in a single video.
