ATLA Is Our First Western Show!

Avatar: The Last Airbender will be our first non-Korean / Japanese series that we’ll be watching over here, and I just wanted to say thanks so much for letting me know what you guys thought! 🥹❤️
As for when this will start it’ll either be September or October, so keep an eye out for September’s watch list when we get there! I want to take it easy (but consistent), and so we’ll drop it when it’s right and not before or after! 😊
Some quick context with Avatar too - I tried to start watching this for the first time almost 3 years or so years ago and it failed. What do I mean? Welp, we streamed a lot on Twitch at the time and some individuals got really demanding out the gate with this, spoilers were a huge worry at the time as well, and of the 4 episodes we watched, the first two were in Japanese dub and eps 3 and 4 in English…I think 🥲 Everything was scuffed 😭
Anyway, it was a once and done stream which turned out to be a bit of a disaster and I said I’d revisit it on my own terms later, which is now! I don’t remember anything other than “when the fire nation attacked” and we never got past the 4th episode so either way this is our first watch! (proper 🤣)
I’m excited to peep this with you guys, and again, this will be available on the All-Star tier and above only.
LoTR will be NEXT either after we’ve gone a fair way through ATLA or just finished it completely as it’s a relatively quick series (look at what One Piece and Naruto have done to me 😭😭😭).
Game Of Thrones we’ll revisit probably once we pick up LoTR and I’ll be gathering some more info on that until then!
Thanks for the recs and also the How To Train Your Dragon recs especially - sadly I’ve seen the first 2 movies so I don’t know if that’d be the vibe but let me know if we’d be down for a rewatch or even just the third movie! I don’t really remember much except Toothless and he gets a Mrs.? idk man lmao ANYWAY

2024-08-15 03:13:50 +0000 UTCIt'd be amazing rewatching the HTTYD movies, but I highly recommend watching the TV shows instead. Race to the Edge is the best but two shorter series comes 1st and they are great too. Plus not enough reactors ever watch the series and that's high shame

These first two are set after the first movie "Dragons-Riders of berk" is the first season name under the show "Dreamwork Dragons" & "Dragons-Defenders of berk" is the name for the second season both have 20 episodes each not too long last time I knew they were aired on Peacock & my favorite "Dragons-Race to the edge" is the third season to Dreamwork Dragons franchise & is a prequel to the second movie & is set I think 3 years after defenders of Berk & has 6 seasons on Netflix last time I knew :-)

Could please check and react to Lord of the Mysteries (donghua--Chinese anime series) trailer that will be aired in 2025, Lok? It's based on one of the best popular web novels, and some even consider it as the best written series ever along with LOTR and GOT! Perhaps you'll be interested in donghua (if we talk about series/shows beside Japanese/Korean or even Western ones) such as Link Click and this LOTM, or any other series.
