Now looking back in Marineford, when Sengoku stopped Garp from hitting Akainu after he killed Ace, he's not saving Garp's status, instead, he saved Akainu's head---and probably the whole island, from destruction. Coz imagine Garp using Galaxy impact when he's mad MAD π© And yes, same thoughts about Garp saving Koby. I also really feel that Garp doesn't want to experience the same thing as what happened to Ace. Love how they reiterate that Koby's a SWORD member and he's not a government liability, and yet, Garp's here to save his pupil. π₯Ίπ

With how insane the animations are these days, I find that I'm still blown away watching the episodes even though I know what happens. Plus I sometimes forget some things that happen in the manga chapters by the time the anime airs the episodes anyways
