2025-02-23 10:15:26 +0000 UTCYes that is Esil in the opening. One thing I wish they added but didn't was Jin Woo thoughts on sparing Esil. It was because she reminded him of his sister Jinah. FYI the SL leveling novel was around 270 chapters and the manhwa was 200 chapters. To give some perspective this return to the demon castle arc ended on ch 110 of the novel/ch 89 of the manhwa. My guess is this will be 4, maybe 5 seasons total. However there is the sequel (Solo Leveling Ragnarok) which is ongoing and already longer than the original. (300+ novel/ 40 ch manhwa). I hope they adapt Ragnarok because the overall story so far can easily be 10+ seasons. Oh & Esil is in Ragnarok too!

Min Byung Gu is a retired S rank healer from episode 1, Hwang Dong Soo left Korea to go to America, Go Gun Hee is retired because of old age, and Eunseok (never says his family name) was the s rank lightning mage who died on jeju from episode 1 who Yoon Ho and Jong In want revenge for.

The animation absolutely snapped this episode and a lot of the changes they made made it so much cooler (the lightning cloud attack, Igris cutting off the wyvern head)
