- We are going to try to post these dev log updates once a month to let you guys in on the process of what we're doing behind the scenes, not just wips of art and music!
Currently, while we work on the development side of Ada's story, we are also having our programmer hash out some changes to the current story and technical aspects of night/shade, such as certain voiced lines, replacing SFX, and overall updating the polish on the game. This will come in the form of a patch with Ada's story!
The Breakdown:
- Global: Update UI asset: Overwrite message
- Global: Update UI asset: Quit to main menu
- Global: Use 70% black overlay behind prompts quit_confirm and quit_to_main_menu
- Global: Fix trailer LOAD play bug
- A4S1: Remove BG10_StrexaLobby_Blur
- A4S1: cut sasha vo line
- A4S1: change sasha_dima to sasha_dima2
- A4S1: change indigo sprite
- A4S1: cut indigo sprite change
- A4S2: change Sasha vo line
- A4S2: cut dima vo line
- A4S2: added dialogue box transition
- A4S2: changed roman vo line
- A4S2: updated clank_metal to be metal_hit, currently clank sfx
- A4S2: changed Roman’s vo line
- A4S2: updated dima vo line to urgent version
- A4S2: line italicized but shouldn’t be
- A4S2: changed sasha vo line to urgent version
- A4S2: slow down all the crossfades in Roman’s [REDACTED]
- A4S2: changed Sasha vo line
- A4S2: cut Dima vo line
- A4S2: changed and added a Pavel sprite
- A4S3: updated scream_crowd_1 file sfx
- A4S3: scream_crowd_1 didn’t play, please add sfx
- A4S4: updates to rain particle settings
- A4S4: Update ada's sprites in this scene
- A4S5: changed Dima’s “eyes” to “eye” typo
- A4S7: remove CG_40c shows during the transition from bg to CG_43
- A4S10: remove CG_36 during the transition from black to CG_46
These were some more superficial and cosmetic changes we wanted to go with to give the game more polish, and our programmer has started on these to make sure we update the quality of our game!
ADA'S STORY:
We have currently started sending out music briefs to Iris (the composer who did the entire OST for N/S), to start on Ada's theme, which is going to be the "lurk" track but a haunting piano version. Super excited to share that wip with you soon!
