LS1 Boost OS V3.0 Released
Added 2022-09-20 18:48:29 +0000 UTCVersion 3.0 of the boost OS which includes many new features. This operating system is a patched version of the 12587603 OS that is for the P59 (1mb blue/green connector) PCM.
------ Feature List ------
- Selectable 2 or 4 bar VE Table
- Boost Spark Adder
- Open Loop Boost Control
- Wideband Closed Loop Fueling
- Launch Control
- Flat Foot Shift
- Spark Cut Engine Speed Limiter
- Desired Air/Fuel Ratio
The bin file attached has already been patched with all new features disabled. The base bin file is a 04 4x4 Chevy 1500 5.3L V8, but all segments can be swapped to any standard GM 12587603 segment to support many applications.
There is currently no support for this OSID in any tool, but hopefully the Universal Patcher could be updated to support this so that people would have a way of creating a base file. If you need any help I can try and provide help when I am available.
PCM Hammer Version 20 is capable of flashing this, but Version 21 doesn't recognize this new OS. When flashing changes to the Boost OS Parameters a "Write OS, Calibration, and Boot" must be done. Hopefully a newer version of PCM Hammer will be able to flash just the calibration sections.

2023-03-15 15:39:59 +0000 UTCThere is no simple answer for that. My general recommendation is to only change what you understand and only change it if you need to. That depends on your application and what you want. I am not able to explain how to tune or configure the bin file as that is much more complicated than I can reply in a simple message.

2023-03-15 15:21:36 +0000 UTCSo i dont mess with anything just make sure all downloads in appropriate folder in tuner pro documents folder along with checksums in plugins folder, open in tuner pro than file save vin as. Than make changes and segment swaps etc.. Than full flash clone? Dont worry about vin change? Noticed vin 2 has yyyyyyyyyyyyy when opened in tuner pro so do i update that to my vin? Seed2 also 0000?Calibration1 and 2 ? Please confirm if keave it alone or put what is in ny ecm now to make work. Thanks

2023-03-15 14:57:16 +0000 UTCYes, this OS is compatible with all P59 PCM’s. When changing the OS you need to clone which updates all the appropriate sections.

2023-03-15 14:43:14 +0000 UTCso its my understanding from this post it can be flashed to any p59 pcm no matter the OS correct? so if i have a 9405 OS what all would i need to make sure gets flashed over??? hardware#? VIN#? been having complications but i think it was to do with onedrive interfearing with what, how and where checksum files were placed etc.... Again thanks for your hardwork and time. Cant wait to get this up and running!!!!

2023-03-15 14:37:41 +0000 UTCdo you think it would be possible to make an E40 work with the 6/8/10 speeds since from my understanding is that they are kind of similar to an E67?

2023-01-30 03:47:38 +0000 UTCYes you are the first to give access to them. My honest opinion is that this industry will leech anything they can and make money off of anyone else's back without remorse.

2022-10-31 18:51:07 +0000 UTCThanks! I really appreciate the support. I figured I wasn’t the first one to do these kinds of modifications, but it seems I’m the first to promote them and give open access. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do with it, but the E92 is what I’m interested in next.

2022-10-28 14:06:00 +0000 UTCIt uses a mostly unused input (EGR) to read a 0-5 Volt input. That gets converted to a value that the factory Narrow Band closed loop control can use.

2022-10-28 14:03:14 +0000 UTCThis is very badass work. I did the closed loop control slightly different. I will never use this but the donation will stand. I would love to see more work in this area. I have a plethora of other mods done for this ECM OS for other needed situations. Sadly I have moved on from this project and onto E67 which I have made work with 8 speed automatic (80% done). I like seeing these mods.
