Shot 60: From static to animation (Krita, Synfig) - Timelapse

In this video you can see a part of our working process of composing static artwork images into animation file.

In the beginning you can briefly see the usage of Transformation Masks feature of Krita. We use it to split artwork into parts non-destructively (very helpful, because we can always turn everything back into place!).

The Krita's KRA file is managed by RenderChan, so I don't need to re-save it into PNG format every time when file is updated.

In Synfig the process is quite ordinary - parts attached to skeleton and everything is fit with draft animation. Note, that I use the new Cobra rendering engine. As a consequence of this, the "Preview Dialog" wasn't opened even once.

Artwork by Anastasia Majzhegisheva.

Animation by Konstantin Dmitriev.

Music by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com).
