It also didn't make sense for me why Daniel and Mr. Han were arguing about fight styles. Like, the whole point of bringing Daniel to New York was to teach Miagi Do. Why's are hey arguing between which is better, Kung Fu or Karate? They wanted the kid to learn both? I get it was for comedic purposes, but still strange dynamic.

Some scenes were shot in Montreal. You can lookup the locations. There was the garden rooftop and the outside of the school from what I remember. Also I agree the training felt rushed. Only a week. And he got through the burrow tournament too fast in my opinion. If they made it that he had a harder time adapting to a new fight style, it would have made more sense, at least some kind of struggle with the fighting. If the incident with his brother made him freeze up during fighting and he had to overcome his inner struggle and conflict with it to get passed a fighting block, this would have already made more sense. I think he mentions every time he fights he thinks of his brother, but this didn't seem to cause trouble while fighting enough. It didn't come across that way at least to me.

I don’t think they’d be brothers since Kwon was Korean & the main guy in here is Chinese lol

I think this film has a decent cast and good ideas I just wish it was more meaningful like Karate kid part 2 or even Karate kid 2010 with Jaden Smith. KK part 3 is still the worst of the franchise for me tho lol I did enjoy the Johnny cameo and flashback in the beginning.

Yeah I agree. I thought the whole movie felt rushed especially when Daniel shows up

The Johnny cameo was the best part of the movie for me 😂😂 I knew you would love that scene. I still don’t think this movie is very good but I definitely enjoyed it a litttlllee bit more after a rewatch haha

the first half was nicely paced but the second half just weirdly sped up and zoomed thru it all. sony definitely has problems making movies…. they made this movie too short with it only being 90 mins. make it 2hrs or so and it would’ve been better.
