Update About Myself

It has been about a month since I have stepped away from content creation and (mostly) stepped away from modding so I wanted to provide you guys with an update as well as an outlook on the future.

Firstly related to my decision, I have absolutely no regrets. The peace of mind of not having to rush home to make a thumbnail, stream, stay up all night working on LoreRim, go to bed late, wake up tired has done wonders for my physical and mental health. That being said, I do miss you guys; streaming was super fun and often therapeutic. 

Why I left is a pretty simple answer despite being asked: I simply don't have the time. I work everyday and sometimes have to pull longer hours. I'm really enjoying my new job and have been super motivated to do well at it and not be distracted by online stuff. My wife is due in November and they plan to schedule a C-section so my guess is early November or late October, we'll know soon. I'm excited though for a newborn, even though it's a lot of work.

Another thing I'm happy about is I've seen more spotlight on other lists. I think, for example, Schtevie is doing a good job with Tomes of Talos. Ylik is back in the scene with Vagabond Remastered. dBottle recently joined the Bungalo with his 2 brand new lists BottleRim and CSVO. All of that is awesome stuff and I've fully okay and supportive of other authors getting some attention. 

I've also been enjoying just kind of overseeing development of different things. Ghoulified has been continuing NGVO development but I've been giving him some pointers on stuff to include or not to include. LoreRim has been getting a lot of love from the Scribes who are helping with big-picture patching stuff (like VIGILANT which is coming SOON thanks to Patman, Stokes, Exit and others). 

That being said: LoreRim 4.2 is underway and will probably be out this month. It is a sizeable update due to VIGILANT. Also, LoreRim 4.2 will be on 1.6.1170 instead of 1.5.97 for Skyrim. This means the latest bugfixes and the possibility in the future to add brand new skill trees.

The big question: Will I ever come back? The answer is I don't know. Realistically, there is no real way for me to dedicate countless hours to modding until much further into next year. Who knows how modding will even look by then. For now, I'm just happy to let the community create cool addons.
