Toga's Tongue (+ some Sounding WIPs)
Added 2020-05-05 06:27:06 +0000 UTCI think I should start using references more, because while I'm animating this person's comic I'm trying to get as close to the comic's expressions as I can and I'm noticing how much more life Toga has as I push her expressions. I'm still tweakin' it all, but here are some of the stills that I've managed to recreate while I worked today
Really should use reference more... I think doing this project alone will help me understand how to make Toga look even more full of life, pushing expressions is something I should work harder on

2020-05-05 18:13:11 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, I don't know the extent of faceposing animation that is possible within SFM, but I do know there is something called Blendshapes which Autodesk Maya has that lets you take multiple meshes and create another mesh which is a blend of those meshes. (I mostly remember it being used for faces, or for things like the ice-castle growing scene in Frozen 1.) Maybe if you create multiple faceposed headmeshes to use as reference, you could use them as expression-bases in future works?
