When (not if) she freaks out, we can point out how we didn't hurt her even though she was helpless, not even waking up while being carried up to our bed. If that's enough to calm her down, she'll hopefully be too curious to pass up the chance to study a changeling up close. If it's too early for the truth, getting a Twilight's Lab or Canterlot Dungeon Bad End is worth it too, if we can reload after. On the other hand, covertly counselling Twilight about her changeling fears sounds like an interesting storyline too.

Being honest about what we are will probably help win her trust. Plus, we haven't stolen the form on any pony to do so... its worth a shot at least
