A new web address for the app

This is just a quick update to let you all know that you can now access the app via 'botc.app'. The old address, online.bloodontheclocktower.com, is still usable and will simply redirect you to the new one. This has been done for a myriad of reasons, most of them boring and technical, but the key ones are as follows:
The old URL takes ages to enter, share or do anything with it. It's really long and not particularly 'catchy' either
The old web address being under the umbrella of 'bloodontheclocktower.com' meant that we couldn't create app-specific email addresses for our app-specific volunteers.
For a similar reason as above, we couldn't secure the app against nasty things like DDOS attacks, without making sweeping changes to our entire core website.

Hello Ben, first of all long time fan. I’ve been playing social deduction games for over 25 years and mafia was all we had. This game is just amazing. I just moved overseas to Jordan where I have been introducing BotC and it is spreading like wild fire. It’s being played in coffee shops, college campuses, anywhere and everywhere! The biggest feedback is the need for a mobile app to assist with the night phase. Please don’t wait on this step too long ❤️

2024-05-01 13:48:03 +0000 UTCMobile support is something that we intend to do eventually. However, it almost certainly will not be until after the app is out of beta. The reason for this is that it would require a complete redesign of the app in order to fit on smaller mobile screens, so we'd have to get a mobile UI specialist involved to oversee a major overhaul like that. - Ben
