I've been thinking... Is there anything else we can do with the Roc other than kill it? It doesn't seem intelligent (or at least it hasn't chosen to try to communicate yet), so we can't easily convince it to join. Is there a way to defeat non-intelligent monsters that turns them into summonables? If not, and killing it is our only option (leaving it with a broken wing to starve to death would be cruel, and letting a predator go that wants to eat us would be foolish), perhaps we can use it as a target for forcefully extracting love first? Bird Samurai has suggested multiple times that we force feed on her love. But is that safe (for her)? Practicing on an expendable target might help us build skill to decrease the chance of accidentally hurting her in the future. Also, getting more skill manipulating love energy would hopefully help build our love capacity a bit.
