Bangkok: Hiroki

Handsome and sexy Hiroki and I only recently connected on Instagram. While on the overnight train from Malaysia to Bangkok, I was searching out potential guys to photograph for my trip. A friend sent his profile to me, we began exchanging messages and there ya have it.

Forty-four year old Hiroki is (obviously) Japanese, but has been living and working in Bangkok for some years. Like other expatriates from Asian countries I've met there, he loves it and has no intentions of returning to his home country. He loves the freedom, openness and his life there, so it's hard to blame him, though I think I'd prefer Japan, personally. Grass is always greener, eh?

We did this shoot on my last day in Bangkok, July 3. We met a ways from the central part of the city, in an area where I had stayed on my previous trip. There was a small group of abandoned houses nearby that I had used a couple times before and wanted to try out again with a different model and different ideas. This series is from an overgrown, forgotten staircase. You may notice Hiroki's sexy shine - it's all sweat (maybe some bug spray mixed in). Because of the oppressive humidity and heavy, still air, there was no need for the usual baby oil - it was like a sauna in there 🥵
