The forcefully open shirt is a manifestation of deep trust, devotion and intense desire they feel for one another. Alan giving up his body and soul, Louis taking him whole, not minding the people around them.
Their relationship is extremely strong on both physical and emotional level. Louis is the only one who can fully understand Alan. He's always on his side and ready to support him when things turn for the worst. Alan's psyche is delicate and easily disturbed, when he's upset there's no stopping it. Louis is a much-needed oasis of comfort, protective and empowering, a steady pillar filtering Alan's rage and transforming it into a set of goals for himself aiming to eliminate whatever hurt Alan. They understand each other best, they work and suffer together. Alan is the leading emotion — Louis is the stability and power.
