Mary Tamm who played the first Romana decided she only wanted to do one season of the show but because the producers liked the character of Romana they recast her with Lalla Ward after seeing her in The Armageddon Factor at the end of the previous season. I really enjoy her spin on the character - its a lot more fun- and she has great chemistry with Tom Baker. I'm also glad you mentioned her fashion as Lalla got a lot of input in what she wore and her costumes are some of the best in Classic Who in my opinion including this one :-) Also was cool to hear you got a response from Frazer Hines. He is awesome.
