Audio Story, Who Do You Want?

I've been talking to a woman who does audiobooks and story narration, and we've decided to do a trial collaboration.

I'm going to write a short story and she's going to narrate it. (I might publish it here as a short story as well, but we'll see.)

I need to get her a script by the end of February, so...

Who do you want to hear/read about?

Mark’s concern is interesting—I hadn’t thought of how my mind has fleshed out the characters. I’m such a visual person that I while I know their bodies pretty well, I can’t say that I have a distinct voice for anyone. However, I think that a person’s voice matures as they age—so if the voice actor is in her 30s or older, a story about Brooke might not feel right if the actor’s voice doesn’t fit Brooke’s character. My 2¢. Probably not worth that amount.

Yes Please!!!

Just my opinion, but I have too much invested in my mind’s vision of Susan and Beth to want to hear someone do their voice. I can also hear Leah in my head (proper US English Chris, plus a hint of Elizabeth’s clipped accent, with a dash of Atlanta, GA, USA). I voted Erin because she’s underrepresented

Personally I wish a Jazz Club story was an option.

Susan! Brooke! Susan! Err... yes, thank you.

She has been several times. On the new years ski trip, not to mention several scenes earlier on, although it's usually in amongst the rest of the party scene

Brooke or Erin or you could do Erin or Brooke

Well, this won't be an audiobook. More like a 20-30 minute story. So, really, a podcast with a plot. But yeah, I'll count your vote for "Publish it, please."

No, sorry. Can't do taboo for this one. Also, the Paul-Erin story is much longer. The story we're talking about here will be more of a vignette.

What Greg said #2.....whoever......I will love it....Nick, you are the TERB....

I must have been sleeping because I can’t remember any story describing Erin in bed

I don't mean to spoil the party but I've never had the patience to sit through an audio book--haven't be able to finish one. Hopefully you'll the publish the "printed" version as well. Cheers.

I think, besides Paul, Susan is the key character of the entire story of Summer Camp. She was there in the beginning and she will be there at the end of Summer Camp. She represents Summer Camp. The story should be told in her voice.

What Greg said...

This would be a really cool way to do the Paul Erin story... Just sayin...

Damn it, Nick, I want ALL of them. ;) But this is really cool. Truly.
