Couple of things come to mind. Unlike in the first version, the began to form in Lee after getting his head blown off which shows his resilience. Makes sense considering what happened at the hospital in the first version. Also the fact that Specimen seems to have much more personality than before which makes me suspect he'll be more vocal with his next victim. What an exciting turn of events.
