December's Theme Two - Nutcracker Chapter

An adventurous, coming-of-age story amidst a whimsical winter wonderland that begins at the feet of a giant Christmas tree, Clara and her doll-prince form a bond and tell the story to a magical world of sweet-treat courtiers.
I dusted off my (most recent) last pair of point shoes from the ballet days for this batch, striking some poses downtown at the city square on a smarting 35 degree day.
I always enjoy listening to the full composition of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" this time of year, it reminds me of my stage experiences, the theater of my childhood, and the winter wonderland of Buffalo, NY.
These references may be used to supplement holiday card or themed illustrations with figurative information, for good old studies, character design, or the like.
As mentioned in this theme's previous "sneak peek" post, I will be taking some time off to invest in family time, rest, and preparation for the coming year.
