Nude Gestures - Dynamic Figure Poses
Added 2022-02-22 20:18:31 +0000 UTC*Housekeeping - I'd like to thank Tier Two patrons for their patience in awaiting this first batch of 2022's nude study reference. It has been later than normal in the release due to our family getting Covid. We are still recovering, but I was finally able to begin work again, including getting round to editing.
Tier Two reference is currently uploaded on a quarterly basis for creative students and professionals who wish to add variety to their figurative practice.
This first batch to kick off 2022 is a classic life-model setting for the art classes I work for in college administrations; model stand, single source lighting, and plain environment to focus on the figure's movement in space.
*Optional: as an excercise, set a timer on your phone for 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or even two or five minutes and practice your gesture studies going through each reference image. Look for line of action first, and prioritize the feel of each pose with lighter, expressive mark-making.
Tip: begin each study from the center of the figure, and be sure to get the full figure, from head to toes, on your page.
