rock

God makes the rules.
Goddess gets to play with them.
He covers us with his provision, protection.
She comforts us with her warmth, her embrace.
She reminds us that it’s ok to make mistakes.
She reminds us to be silly at the end of the day,
that it doesn’t matter much anyway,
and one day
it will all
fade
away.
He summons life into being.
She brings it forth with her birthing.
Intimate with the cycles of nature, she is.
As cozy with decay as with decadence.
As gracious with pain as with pleasure.
As precious with death as with birth.
As loving with violence as with peace.
She is the ultimate — the one who sees.
Be sure to rest your head on her shoulders.
Be sure to rest your mind in her lap.
Be sure to rest your heart in her gaze.
She is here — in all ways.
Waiting to embrace
every bit of you
as she has
— always.
