IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Charging upfront
Added 2020-03-20 19:02:21 +0000 UTCI decided today to change the way patrons would be charged for their pledge to my account. From now on, no matter the tier, all patrons will be charged immediately upon having access to my content, instead of every 1st of every month.
The reason behind this change is that for several months now, and ever since I created my Patreon account, people would cancel their pledge during the last two days of every month to avoid payment, then pledge right back again as soon as the smoke clears. Likewise, existing patrons would often change their pledge tier to get access to recent content, then immediately switch back to the smallest tier as soon as they're done viewing it without ever impacting their payments.
As a tip jar, I wanted to give everyone the option to commit to their support or not, but it seems at least a good amount of people are using these rules to their advantage, which is why a lot of my exclusive content is also resurfacing publicly on the web/reposted by bots of all kinds.
That is a big problem, which is why I want to truly give people the exclusivity they payed for. I hope you'll understand my reasons behind this change.
