Hello Everyone,

An issue has unfolded that I wouldn‘t like to carry to the public but thought it would be right to share with you. Since it might become public soon anyway, if I‘m unlucky.

There is an online ceator who once has been a big inspiration to me and who‘s art helped me get through a mental blockade and discover new possibilities with storytelling.

However, said big creator has sent me an email on Monday accusing me of banking off of their work and copying every aspect of it. They are blackmailing me to take all my work from the last year, including Little Starling off the internet, closing my Patreon and refraining from ever monetizing any of it again, or they will go public with their accusations on social media. The creator has more than 10 times my following on instagram (6k) and more than 15k on twitter.

Some very online people of you may know them. I can‘t deny that their work inspired me (which they are aware of and I have never made a secret of). However the pool of influences I draw from are alot larger.

This has been going on since December where they sent me their first message stating that the similarities make them uncomfortable and I answered that artists from certain genres have always had a certain influence on each other and that I am sorry it makes them uncomfortable. Instead of answering they made a public statement about it and I have been avoiding them every since.

Following this have been months where they blocked and unblocked me untill their mail this Monday. They even made the effort compiling all of my art and comparing it to theirs in image documents. Most of them are ludacris and I have alot to say about them. Best of all are the ones that I created and posted before they did, but I guess they never made the effort to check the dates. As if they had tunnel vision compiling the evidence.

To be honest, I actually am a bit frightened. Online they appear to be a very put together and mature person, but the emails they have sent me seem a little unhinged and unpredictable.

So, whatever will happen in the next weeks, let‘s hope they find something better to do than call me out.
