The tide is rising

It is inspired by one visit in Venice during new years. The entire city was flooded and you had to walk in either rubber boots or on elevated paths they laid out. I was 12 and it was the first time in St. Marc's Basilika and we had to walk on those paths. Looking down all the mosaiks were under water and it somehow made it feel very magical. Still a sight I can't forget.
And I already mentioned I wanted Little Starling to also play in Venice a bit at the end and that idea has pretty much become canon now! So I imagine this is Zazu standing in the flooded Basilika, looking for something... So maybe the title does mean something after all π€
I also might make a tutorial for this one...I've been saying that about alot of illustrations already, so you can keep me accountable for this one
