The next three pages (will kill me again)

So I want to share the storyboards for the next three (one of them a splash page) pages with you and explain what I want to do with them so that you guys have patience with me if they take a long time to create yet again.

A splash page with Vince in the foreground singing and lots of little panels of people mourning and here and there one of Marielle behind him. The row of people underneath have visible scars, presumably from serving in the army.

Vince has started crying and his tears are dripping on the sheet of paper. The panel at the bottom is an earial shot of outside of the bar where you can see people congregating. I want the page to still be kind of monochrome sepia/orange, but Vince‘s tears and a few droplets on the actual comic page to be fully coloured. For this I will have to figure out if I can just draw the entire pagy fully coloured and then duplicate the page, run it through a filter and mask out the few drops. I hope it will work, or I will have to paint the page twice 😖

This is the only time we see Zazu in this chapter. He is sitting on the roof of his house, alone, looking over the illuminated city at night in the back. I want it again to be monochrome but more of the fully coloured page coming through. Not through teadrops but by making it look like colour is running down the page like wet paint. Let‘s see if my plan will work!!

This is ambitious, but so far everything has worked out, so why should this not!

After this I might do a little hiatus because I need to prepare stuff for next chapter. I need to storyboard a significant amount beforehand to just be able to turn my brain off when inking and colouring and I have to create a 3D model of the Opera house, the stage and the audience hall to not go berzerk whenever I have to draw scenes in those settings.

I don‘t want to have to focus on the background too much while creating the pages and just trace over a picture, because in chapter 4 it will happen 🌝
