Behind Discover San Andreas 1993's theme music

There's a reference in Discover San Andreas 1993 hiding in plain sight... or sound!

The music that was used as the main theme for DSA 1993 was originally put together for a series titled "From The Ground", one that I'm still working on and planning on releasing somewhat soon. With the help of Dima Faustov on the baritone sax, I remade the GTA 3 Mission Complete theme into the tune that is simply titled "From The Ground".

I've always had a love for the old mission passed theme, as it still stands out and one of the most unique slices of music that was made for a GTA game (plus I like how funky it is). I was going to use the original theme wholesale, however I ended up remaking everything but the drum track!

I like to think the saxophone, and what ended up being written for those parts, adds a level of cheese that will suit the upcoming series quite well as not only a main theme, but also when it's adapted for use as background music (you can't hear that yet!).
