Accessibility Updates on the Way

Greetings, one and all!

It's come to my attention that Sanctuary in Time doesn't work as well as it could with accessibility applications such as NVDA and JAWS, which are made to assist visually impaired players.

I've been in communication with the folks behind NVDA (an excellent & freely available accessibility app), who have been very helpful, and I've also done a fair bit of research on my own, so that I now believe I know what the issue was, as well as how to address it.

Unfortunately, the underlying graphical interface library I used to build Sanctuary in Time is not natively compatible w/ accessibility features such as text-to-speech. But there are 3rd party software modules I can import to my code which will make such features available. It's only a matter of integrating, implementing, and then testing them to make sure they work properly in my program.

So, that's what I'm currently hard at work doing. And I must say, it's been (and continues to be) a challenge, but not an unpleasant one. And I'm finding myself learning a whole lot about interface design & accessibility options that I didn't know previously. So, it's really been a good learning experience.

I'm hoping when the process is done, Sanctuary in Time (as well as any future applications I make), will be a whole lot easier to use for our visually impaired fellow players.
