Quick Note

For those in the Fellow Weirdo tier, I plan on running the new character poll tomorrow, so please keep an eye out for that! In the meantime, as I finish up this most recent project, I just felt the need to put this post out there. Probably more for my peace of mind than for anything else.
So, while I create crazy graphic visceral art and I believe in the unassailable right to artistic freedom, it is still very important to me that I engage with my art ethically. I'm very sincere in the title card I put before my videos. I absolutely abhor real world violence, sexual violence, and misogyny. My art is in no way meant to imitate, exploit, evoke, or condone any real world situations or scenarios. While it may not be entirely necessary, I'm very deliberate with the use of fantasy characters, settings, situations, presentation, tropes, etc. for this very reason. I see my art as a way to explore extreme emotions and fantasy scenarios in a safe and healthy manner.
Obviously, I'm operating under the belief that the audience of my artwork is able to separate fantasy from reality and understand the nuance involved in this delicate topic. In much the same way that playing a violent videogame is not a celebration of actual violence, my art is not a celebration of real world violence. People are drawn to my artwork for numerous reasons, and are welcome to engage with it in whatever responsible, safe, and ethical manner that they would like. However, don't ever take my art as a celebration of, or justification for, real world violence or misogyny.
Anyways, I hate to get overly serious and know that, with my audience, I probably don't need to. But I just feel the need to put this message out there every now and then for my own sake.
I seriously appreciate having everyone's support, and certainly welcome your comments and thoughts! I look forward to getting out the next project soon, and hope you all have a nice week!
