Here is a first quick look at the new houses. This week I am working on dressing them in textures, but for now I will show the geometry on which I have settled for the next step.
They might not look like much in white, but imagine the texturing of the "lean to" applied to them. I think they will look great once textured and they will help mix up a village of the reed roof type or create a new type of mountain village. I love it when the architecture options will support and enhance your different gaming scenarios.

The smaller building, with it's 4x2" ground area, can be used as a work shed or maybe a stable. I have also seen buildings like this used as barracks in a mountain fort.

The larger building covers 4x3" ground area. It is a little higher than my usual floor height, but not two stories! I see it as a place for storage or where people would meet. And also I made it a little higher so that a water mill wheel could fit on the wall.
I have had a couple of requests to add a water mill, so I am making a wheel that you can add to this (or any building it fits). During research I was surprised to find that the Japanese have really distinct looking water wheels! More about that later :-)
