This summer was a very hot one. I will not tell you guys how little I did wear during the last month - it was the bare minimum, but I was still decent :-) - yet I often thought about how cooling a silken kimono would be. I have read that one of the reasons why silk was such a valuable commodity in Feudal Japan was, that it helped bear the hot and humid summers in these days.
I have completed the texturing of the entrance parts for the solo house. The humble entrance has a little waiting bench and an optional hiding panel on the other side.

The other entrance just has a little roof and some stone steps.
Now I can start the final steps, like the weathering. I think most of the time these tea houses were kept in good condition, but still a paper model always looks a little better when you can see the effects of using and aging.
After that I can start packaging every up, making instructions and getting the set in shape for release.
As happy as I am to complete this set, I am very much looking forward to next months boat! The last boat set, the rowing boats, have raised a lot of interest and I think you guys will love what comes next! :-)
Happy building,
Chris
