I am very happy to show you the textured sails. It took a while to break down all the details, but I am very satisfied how it all turned out.

I even added some smaller details like the pins to hold the foresail in place ...

... and the mainsheet at the stern to hold the main sail.

The mainsheet is just slotted, so you can turn the sail to the other side if needed.
I built the sails out of 80gsm paper. That is half the weight I usually use. It's actually plain office paper, so quite thin. But as you have two sides glued together it results in a sail that is not too heavy and stiff. I have added parts that reinforce the booms and the front stay of the foresail, so they are a little stronger.
Now all is left are the swivel guns and to weather the boat! Adding dirt, wear and tear is always a fun part of the process :-)
