I have finished the development of the main hull for the wako pirate ship. It is built using the time tested two layer approach and it goes together very simple. I like the shape of the hull sides now much better than the first prototype.
In order for the hull to be able to hold loads of even heavy metal minis, I have added the inner keel and ribs structure. Most important part if this build stage is: let it dry thoroughly using a couple books pressing overnight, which hold the full assembly flat.

Here is a look at the hull section turned over. It has all the details I researched with the Samurai Fleet builder ships but honestly, with the huge deck above you probably won't notice much of it :-)
Where the large side hull parts meet, you can notice a little seam, but again with the extending deck covering it, you will not be distracted by it.
I am working on the deck today, so hopefully I will have pics on how it looks very soon!
