Back to the Pirate Fleet: Sloop for November
Added 2018-11-03 06:29:44 +0000 UTCAs much as I had fun making the Wako Pirate Ship I am even more excited to start seriously working on the Sloop!
With 12" length it will be 4" longer than the gunboat and what I love even more ... it is large enough to have gun ports! So finally I can put my paper model cannons I made some time ago to use.
A while ago I made eight of them and they are just collecting dust and waiting for their time to come :-)
The first step I will do, is build an improved model of the sloop geometry at half scale. The last concept build looked like this and I esp wanted to make the stern cabin section a little longer.
And once I am happy with the general look of the geometry, I will build it at full scale for 30mm minis. That will include splitting the oversized parts and checking again if everything still looks good with minis and cannons!
November mists are rolling in, so good weather and nature is not so distracting this time of the year :-) We have boats to build!
