Completing the Sloop hull prototype

I have now fixed all the little issues and made all the deck structures, including the binnacle compass box and the cabin. This is the next build.

The cannons fit now :-) and I have changed the unfold layout so the different layers overlap nicely at texture seams, so the seams will be covered up by the plank patterns.

When you remove the cabin you have a nice long raised deck with even more space for minis!

Take out all the deck structures and you can see the (very) light gray 1" grid lines. I have also take a little more time to render the sketched texturing details, like adding the rings where the cannons would be roped up to.

Now the last step I want to complete before starting the texturing, is getting the mast/sails/rig finalized. The main mast will just be insertable into the hull. For the jib beam I need to make a "holder" section in the bow.

With all the prototypes built so far, I know I will make one neighbours kid very happy soon :-)
