First build of the rig
Added 2018-12-07 16:33:55 +0000 UTCI have completed all the major parts and texturing for the sailing rig, so here is a first look at the first build. The sloop is looking like a ship now!
I am very happy how the mast extensions turned out. I found that I can skip the toothpicks and it still works great (so they - the toothpicks - are just needed when you want to add more friction to the extension connectors).

Now I need to check if any parts are missing (one I see is the connection of the gaff sail beam to the hull) and then add the weathering and do the final build and complete the old hull from phase I.
Still some work to be done including finishing the instructions but I am pretty sure I will manage to get this all finished before the holidays!
