This was 2018!

After a couple of quiet, peaceful and restful christmas holidays I am in the right mood to take stock of this year.

Today I want to take the time and look back at what we created this year. I often tend to look ahead and only notice the problems to come and forget about all the challenges I have (successfully!) overcome, all the things I have created. So at this time of the year, I try to focus back and have a good look at all that was achieved, done and finished!

When I started this Patreon my goal was to make a new set every month. In the years before I have taken my time, not only to create paper models but also creating and improving lots of basic workflows and learning tools that would help me make and build better creations. So when I challenged myself to create one high quality set (including instructions and promotional actions) every single month, I wasn't sure I could do it.

It was a very interesting year to say the least. I was able utilize all the tools I have created, all the things I have learnt in the years before, to speed up my process to be able to make it just in time every month. So today, when I look at the image I compiled ... and all around my workroom :-) - I am very happy and a little proud that I was able to release all that I did!

Now this wasn't possible without your support. Your ideas, feedback, encouragement and last but not least, your financial contributions are a huge motivator every single day. For this I am very grateful. As an artist, having your work recognized on all these levels, is something that makes me grateful. It kind of makes my creations "real".

So from me and my piggy bank ...
